Armenia’s parliament casts vote to remove martial law – RIA

MOSCOW (RUSSIA) – Armenia’s parliament voted on Wednesday to remove martial law, reported the RIA news agency, before an early parliamentary election planned in June.

Armenia introduced the martial law in September when war broke out between ethnic Armenians in the enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azeri forces. The conflict that erupted on September 27 was halted on November 10 by a Russian-brokered peace deal.
