Mainland China records 28 new COVID-19 cases

SHANGHAI (CHINA) – China’s health commission said on Saturday that the mainland recorded as many as 28 new cases of COVID-19, up from 18 a day earlier.

In a statement, the National Health Commission said all the cases were imported. It also said there were 27 new asymptomatic patients on Friday, compared with 11 a day earlier.

There were as many as 85,775 confirmed coronavirus cases in the mainland as of Friday, the health authority said, adding that the number of fatalities remains at 4,634.
