EU finalises on BioNTech-Pfizer’s potential vaccine

BRUSSELS (BELGIUM) – The European Commission said on Wednesday exploratory talks with BioNTech-Pfizer have concluded so as to buy up to 300 million doses of a potential vaccine against COVID-19.

The envisaged contract would pave way for an initial purchase of 200 million doses for all countries under the EU and there would be an option to buy a further 100 million, the Commission said.
