France records 3,376 new COVID-19 cases

PARIS (FRANCE) – France has reported 3,376 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last three days, according to the country’s health department on Monday.

The seven-day moving average saw new cases above the 1,000 threshold for the fifth day in a row. France’s total number of cases now stands at 191,295.

French Prime Minister Jean Castex urged people not to yield in the fight against COVID-19.

The number of people in intensive care units for COVID-19 was high at 384 on Monday. This marks the second time in a week the figure has increased after coming low for 16 weeks.

French health authorities reported 29 additional deaths from the disease, bringing the tally to 30,294.
