Brexit transition: UK to put on hold power to control state aid from Scotland, Wales

LONDON (UK) – The UK government is thinking of plans to withhold power to control state aid from Scotland and Wales when the Brexit transition period comes to a close, said the Financial Times on Sunday.

The state aid proposal, which would empower Westminster to control policies for the entire country, is slated to appear in a bill this autumn, setting the legal grounds of a new internal market, the FT said.
