2025 Ericsson’s forecast for 5G subscriptions raised due to pandemic

STOCKHOLM (Technology) – Ericsson shall be lifting its forecast for 5G subscriptions around the world to approximately 2.8 billion by 2025 from 2.6 billion given before.

The telecoms sector is one of the few which has seen surging demand despite economic uncertainty linked to the coronavirus pandemic. This can be attributed to more people working remotely.
