LONDON (UK) – Personal protective equipment (PPE) guidance in hospitals is based on clinical advice and the UK is not asking doctors to compromise on safety, according to British health minister Matt Hancock.
This comes after two doctors launched legal action against the British government.
The two doctors are a married couple expecting a child who were exposed to patients with COVID-19.
The doctors are concerned that the current PPE guidance and availability are inadequate to protect them from infection.

When Hancock was asked if doctors were being instructed to compromise on equipment, he responded with “I don’t recognise that.”
