Japan Display finalises $200 million raising deal from ‘customer’

TOKYO (Technology) – Japan Display finalised a deal raising $200 million from “an overseas customer”.

A few sources claim that the overseas customer is Apple.

The $200 fund shall be in the form of customer purchasing equipment at Japan Display’s central Japan main smartphone screen factory.

Japan Display owed Apple over $800 million as of last year for the $1.5 billion costs for the plant’s construction. The funds to be raised would be used for repayment.
