Most of UK now on emergency footing against coronavirus

LONDON (UK) – All parts of Britain have been on an emergency footing, one that hasn’t been seen since World War Two, in the coronavirus fight.

Strategic coordination centres are being set up country-wide, according to housing minister Robert Jenrick.

“All parts of the country are now on an emergency footing. This is an unprecedented step in peacetime. We haven’t done anything like this since the Second World War.”
