LONDON (UK) – British Queen Elizabeth’s official birthday celebration parade will not go ahead as it traditionally does due to restrictions on social gatherings because of the rapid coronavirus spread, according to the Buckingham Palace on Friday.

The soldier parade through central London called Trooping the Colour has been scheduled for Saturday, June 13. Queen Elizabeth’s actual birthday is on the 21st of April.

“In line with Government advice, it has been agreed that The Queen’s Birthday Parade, also known as Trooping the Colour, will not go ahead in its traditional form. A number of other options are being considered, in line with relevant guidance.”
