ATHENS – Teargas was fired by Greek police against migrant groups pelting stones on the Greece-Turkey border.

The live images from Saturday morning showed groups of people throwing stones towards the Greek police from the Turkey-side of the border.

Authorities prohibited media from approaching the Greek side of the border so they remained a kilometre away.

The area smelt heavily of teargas, according to witnesses.
