WASHINGTON – On Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump left for his quick India trip, wherein he intends to be greeted by large crowds- enough to put campaign rallies’ numbers to shame.

Trump, accompanied by his wife Melania, are taking the 17-hour journey to India with a refuelling stop at the Ramstein military base in Germany. They shall be landing in Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hometown in Ahmedabad.

In Ahmedabad on Monday, people in counts of hundreds of thousands shall be greeting Trump with a roadshow and a rally to take place in a cricket stadium boasting a 100,000+ capacity.

Trump is used to rallies of 20,000 or so, the biggest of any U.S. presidential race candidate and is in awe of Modi’s ability to garner a bigger audience than him.

“Here’s my problem. We have a packed house. We have thousands of people who couldn’t get in. It’s going to look like peanuts from now on.”

– President Donald Trump

After Trump addresses the stadium crowd, he shall make his way to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and then head on out to the capital, New Delhi where Modi and he are expected to have a day of talks followed by an evening banquet on Tuesday.

The Trumps are expected to get back to Washington on Wednesday.
