Starting off with royal family news, British Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended a JP Morgan event in Miami, Florida– which is one of their first events since taking a step back from their royal duties. Prince Harry addressed the event but he hasn’t been believed to give a keynote address. It is not yet known if Harry was paid for the address. Prince Harry’s first cousin Princess Beatrice is set to marry fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on May 29th at London’s St James’ Palace. The wedding ceremony is to be a slightly more private affair than her younger sister Eugenie’s wedding. 

In other news, Britain’s Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab intends on delivering an “ambitious” trade deal with Japan after meeting with Japan’s Toshimitsu Motegi in Tokyo.

World News

French soldiers killed more than 30 Islamist militants in Mali in three separate operations on Thursday and Friday targeting al Qaeda and Islamic State-linked groups, France’s armed forces said. France, the former colonial power in a number of West African countries, has about 4,500 soldiers in the region in its counter-terrorism taskforce Operation Barkhane. The United Nations has a 13,000-strong peacekeeping operation in Mali.
