OTTAWA- Canada’s Transport Minister Marc Garneau said that Canadian crash investigators visited the Iranian plane disaster site killing 57 Canadians.

Access to the flight and cockpit recorders have not been granted to the Canadian investigators yet.

Visas have been issued to Canadian officials by Iran, including two Transportation Safety Board officials probing into how and why Iran shot down the Ukrainian airliner on January 8th.

According to Garneau, the Canadian investigators have been told by the Iranians that they will be able to participate in decoding the black boxes and analysing the data.
