LONDON- On Monday, Prince Charles’ office said he shall mark the 75-year-old liberation of Auschwitz on his visit to Jerusalem towards the end of January.

Prince Charles will be the most senior of the British royals to officially visit Israel and the Palestinian Territories.

On January 24th, he will be attending the Holocaust remembrance centre Yad Vashem. This edition of the World Holocaust Forum marks the 75th anniversary of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp liberation in southern Poland, which was World War II’s largest Nazi death camp.

Prince Charles will also be meeting British survivors of the Holocaust travelling for the event to Israel.
