LONDON- On Saturday, Queen Elizabeth joined her grandsons Harry and William in expressing shock over the Australian bushfires and extended gratitude to firefighters who risked their lives to ensure the safety of others.

In all of three separate statements, the family sent out condolence messages and support to all Australians.

Queen Elizabeth extended thanks to the emergency services and those individuals who put their lives in danger to save and help communities in need. Her message also said that Prince Philip and her send out their prayers and thoughts to all Australians to get through this difficult time.

Prince William and wife Kate were shocked and saddened by the Australian wildfires while Prince Harry and wife Meghan took to Instagram to send messages of support and shared links for fundraising.

Harry and Meghan said that this was a global environmental crisis which can only be described as Ecocide. In such a situation, it is easy to feel helpless but there’s always a way to help.

The Queen’s message was sent to the Governor-General of Australia and to the governors of Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
